New Year’s Eve In Ouray

As we bring the new year, Steve & I have much to be grateful for. We were able to spend time with our families this year and all are happy and healthy. 2008 was a great year for both of us.
In October, both my parents and Steve’s Mom & Brother came out. The time we had together just seemed to fly by. I think my parents miss Ol’ Ouray more than they admit to ;) . In November we packed up our suitcases and headed East as a dear friend of ours was married November 30th in Miami (Congrats to Suzy & Brian). During our visit we were able to catch up with old friends that we have not seen in many years. We were even able to squeeze in a Slawitschka Family Reunion in Jacksonville.
We look forward to the New Year to the the new adventures it will bring. We also look forward to seeing you soon.
Here is a bit of video we shot last night of the fireworks. Our Volunteer Fire Department takes very good care of us in many ways!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The area looks fantastic and the hotel absolutely beautiful! One thing you don’t mention anywhere is anything dealing with the disabled. My husband is in a chair and is one of the many who would love nothing more than to visit your beautiful Inn, but with no information listed we are unable to know one way or another if a Holiday is possible. As I am writing from the UK, (I’m an American Ex-Pat living in the UK) a phone call is not as easy or as inexpensive as checking your website. Also I have not been able to find any way of contacting you directly except by pnone. Would love to talk to you about this and perhaps give you a couple of ideas. Just because someone is disabled doesn’t mean that they cannot use your facilities and end enjoy the beauty of your mountains. I would love to talk with you about this, when you have the time email me. Thanks and Happy Holidays! Katie, Murphy
